# Brifing for developers and agents

Brifing summarizes business, technology, AI, finance and career news from 500+ publishers into short, sourced story cards. Everything on this page is **public, read-only and free — no API key, no sign-up**.

Please cite the publisher and the original article (`original_url`) whenever you use a story; Brifing's text is a summary of their reporting.

## Markdown

Every page has a Markdown version for agents that do not run JavaScript. Send `Accept: text/markdown`, or add `?format=md` to the URL.

Markdown responses include an `x-markdown-tokens` header with an approximate token count. Pages: home (`/`), stories (`/s/{id}`), topics (`/c/{slug}`), publishers (`/source/{id}`), `/pricing` and `/legal/{terms,privacy,refund}`.

| `GET /stories` | Newest stories. `topic`, `limit` (1–50), `lang` |
| `GET /stories?q=…` | Stories whose headline contains every keyword, newest first |

Topics: `business`, `data-ai`, `finance`, `growth`, `people`, `entrepreneurship`, `leadership`, `operations`, `engineering`, `marketing`, `product`, `design`, `sales`. Languages: `en` (default), `es`, `fr`, `de`, `it`, `pt`, `ja`, `ko`, `ar`; stories without cards in a language fall back to English.

## MCP server

Every tool is read-only and returns Markdown text plus structured JSON.

## A2A agent

Endpoint: `https://brifing.si/a2a` (JSON-RPC; A2A 1.0 `SendMessage` and 0.3 `message/send`). Agent card: [/.well-known/agent-card.json](https://brifing.si/.well-known/agent-card.json).

Send a text part such as "latest AI news", "Nvidia earnings" or a story link. The agent answers immediately with a message containing Markdown and a JSON data part; it keeps no tasks and does not stream.

## Fair use

- Responses are cached for a few minutes; please do not poll faster than that.
- Identify your client in `User-Agent`.
- Personal data (a user's briefing, saves, subscription) is never available through these interfaces.
