Vivo X500 Pro Max Performance and Camera Details Leaked
The new generation processor and advanced camera system stand out.
1Vivo X500 Series Coming in September
Vivo's Product Manager Han Boxiao confirmed on Weibo that the X500 series will launch in September 2024. The lineup will include X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max models. The X500 Pro Max spotted on Geekbench stands out with its next-gen processor and camera capabilities. The device with model number V2610 will come with Android 17 OS and 12GB RAM.
2MediaTek's New Processor
The processor identified as MediaTek MT6995 in Geekbench listings could be the rumored Dimensity 9600 Pro. The chip features an octa-core configuration with two cores at 4.55 GHz, three at 4.35 GHz, and three at 3.10 GHz. Manufactured using TSMC's N2P process, the chip boosts performance without increasing power consumption. Geekbench scores were recorded at 2,574 single-core and 7,756 multi-core.
3Camera System Revolution
Vivo X500 Pro Max features a ZEISS Ultra Dynamic Main Camera. The 50MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch BluePrint Phantom 900 sensor offers a large sensor size compared to current smartphone cameras. 17EV dynamic range capability enables capturing more detail in dark and bright areas. Stabilization has also been significantly improved over the X300 Pro.
4Video and Photo Quality
X500 Pro Max will support 4K 120fps HDR and 4K 240fps slow motion. The 200MP HP9 periscope telephoto lens will be the same large-sensor telephoto used in X300 Ultra. The stabilization system reaching CIPA 7.0 rating, with 3 degrees of optical stabilization, will enable sharper photos and steadier videos. The X series promises cinema-quality video as well as photography.
5Performance and User Experience
Vivo X500 Pro Max will offer five major upgrades in video, photography, performance, display, and OS with its new camera system dubbed 'Thanos 500'. Users who nicknamed X100 Ultra's 200MP telephoto lens 'Thanos' believe the new model will inherit this title. The high-clock-speed processor promises smooth performance in intensive apps and gaming.
6Industry Competition
Vivo's X500 Pro Max will compete head-to-head with rivals like Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The model aims to capture significant market share in the premium smartphone segment with its camera performance and processing power. MediaTek's new chip will directly compete with Qualcomm and Apple's processors.
7Consumer Expectations
Vivo's X series has long been known as a 'professional imaging flagship' for its photo and video quality. X500 Pro Max's cinema-level video capability will be an attractive feature for content creators and professional users. Large camera sensors and advanced stabilization will deliver high-quality images even in low-light conditions.
8Market Impact
The September launch of Vivo X500 Pro Max will increase activity in the premium smartphone market. The model, notable for its camera performance and processing power, could reshape consumer expectations for high-end devices. The success of MediaTek's new chip may lead other manufacturers to adopt similar technologies.
