1Multi-Agent Support

The new JetBrains Air release supports GitHub Copilot, OpenCode, and other ACP-compatible coding agents. Agents can now work in parallel workspaces, with changes reviewable before reaching the codebase. This flexibility allows using company-approved different AI tools.

2Local Model Integration

Developers can now use local models (like Ollama or LM Studio) running on their computers with Air. This feature offers offline capability and model selection tailored to specific codebases. ACP protocol enables seamless integration with local models.

3Java/Kotlin Support

Java and Kotlin support, powered by IntelliJ IDEA's code engine, includes features like jump-to-definition, symbol search, and code path navigation. Errors are highlighted after agent modifications, enabling pre-acceptance review.

4Windows Docker Support

Docker container support, previously available only on macOS, is now extended to Windows systems. Developers can run dependencies and agent commands in an isolated environment. Docker Desktop installation is required for this feature.

5Enhanced Control Mechanisms

The new version offers an improved interface for detailed review of agent-proposed changes. Context window usage and token counts are visible for Claude Agent. A new macOS setting prevents sleep mode during long tasks.

6New Era of Productivity

This JetBrains Air update provides developers with unprecedented control and flexibility in AI-assisted coding processes. The ACP protocol expands the ecosystem, while local model support creates new possibilities.
