GTA 6 leaks: Everything shared by Cyberleek so far
New footage from Rockstar's highly anticipated game has been leaked.
1Who is Cyberleek?
Cyberleek, the individual or group behind the GTA 6 leaks, has been sharing short gameplay clips over the past week. On August 20, Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company, filed subpoenas against Microsoft and Discord to identify the source. The legal filings mention 'stolen content,' suggesting at least some leaks are legitimate.
2Map details
Leaked images show portions of GTA 6's map, featuring locations like Dalton Island, Tequesta Retreat, Gloriana Key, and Catalan Key. A screenshot claiming to reveal the entire game map has also surfaced. These details fuel speculation that the game will be set in Vice City, continuing the franchise's tradition.
3Gameplay mechanics
Leaked clips showcase protagonist Jason Duval playing basketball, using a taser, and beating up a truck driver. Another clip reveals Zombix, a healing drug with diminishing effects over time. Additional footage shows Jason flying a plane over Vice City, offering a panoramic view of the game world below.
4Violent scenes
Leaked footage depicts Jason tasing a security guard and continuing to kick him while he's down. Another scene shows him causing chaos at a gas station, stealing a fuel truck, and dying in a crash. Further clips reveal Jason attacking NPCs at a nudist colony, maintaining the series' signature mature content.
5AI-generated fake leaks
While many AI-generated fake leaks circulate online, Cyberleek's footage shows authentic Rockstar details - from character movements to NPC interactions. The consistency with Rockstar's signature style makes these leaks particularly convincing compared to obvious AI fakes flooding social media platforms.
6Legal battle
Take-Two Interactive has taken legal action against Microsoft and Discord to identify the leakers. The company demands removal of copyright-infringing content and disclosure of leakers' identities. The 'stolen content' reference in court filings suggests some material originated from Rockstar's internal builds.
7Community reactions
Cyberleek runs polls on their website where users can vote with cryptocurrency to decide what gets leaked next. The gaming community remains divided - some players avoid spoilers while others eagerly consume every leak. The situation highlights the intense anticipation surrounding Rockstar's next major release.
8Official reveal imminent
Rockstar Games will debut official GTA 6 gameplay footage on Netflix on August 27. The company hasn't commented on the leaks beyond legal actions. Players worldwide await to see if the official trailer confirms or contradicts the leaked content that's currently fueling endless online discussions.
