Spanning 269 square feet, the design ensures all essential living functions, including the bedroom, remain on the main floor. This layout eliminates the need for ladders, facilitating easier daily movement for residents. ## Structural and Exterior Specifications Constructed on a triple-axle trailer, the 32-foot-long structure maintains the classic narrow proportions of a towable dwelling. The exterior features engineered-wood siding, showcased in a gray and green finish. By positioning the bedroom and bathroom at opposite ends, the design creates a distinct, central communal space that anchors the entire home. ## Maximizing Compact Interior Utility The interior utilizes white horizontal wallboards and pale cabinetry to enhance the sense of space. A raised platform sofa incorporates open storage cubbies, allowing residents to stow belongings within the furniture footprint. This strategic allocation of space prevents the need for additional freestanding cabinets, which would otherwise clutter the limited floor area. ## Integrated Living and Dining Solutions A drop-down table provides a versatile surface for dining or remote work without permanently obstructing the aisle. The living area includes a wall-mounted television, an electric fireplace, and climate control via a mini-split system. These standard domestic fittings are condensed into a shared room, maintaining functionality without sacrificing the home's open-concept feel. ## Streamlined Kitchen Configuration The kitchen is equipped with an induction cooktop, sink, refrigerator, and microwave to cover basic culinary needs. While the current configuration omits an oven and dishwasher, it maximizes storage through upper cupboards and lower drawers. Black hardware accents provide a visual contrast against the white cabinetry, while a timber shelf adds utility. ## Bathroom and Laundry Integration Access to the bathroom is provided through a sliding barn-style door, which saves space compared to traditional swinging doors. The room contains a walk-in shower, flushing toilet, and vanity. Notably, the laundry appliance is integrated directly into the bathroom, keeping washing facilities separate from the kitchen and maximizing the home's overall efficiency. ## Private Bedroom Layout The bedroom features a full-size bed with integrated under-bed storage and a dedicated wardrobe cabinet. A shelf above the headboard offers additional space for small items. By providing a proper door, the design ensures privacy and full-height ceilings, distinguishing it from the cramped, low-ceilinged sleeping platforms found in many other tiny homes. ## Market Positioning and Value Dragon Tiny Homes lists the Avalon 32 at a price point of $73,850, with delivery costs calculated based on the destination. The model serves as a clear alternative for buyers who prioritize convenience and accessibility. Its primary value proposition remains the elimination of climbing, making daily routines more comfortable in a compact footprint. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.yankodesign.com/2026/10/29/the-single-level-avalon-32%e2%80%b2-tiny-home-keeps-everyday-living-downstairs/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-single-level-avalon-32%25e2%2580%25b2-tiny-home-keeps-everyday-living-downstairs — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
