The season includes new cast members as well as notable characters from previous seasons who won't be returning. Elle magazine published an article detailing the main additions to the season's cast. This marks the first time the new roster has been revealed, making it a significant announcement. ## Tanya Reynolds' Role Tanya Reynolds stands out as one of the most notable newcomers in the fourth season of Ted Lasso. Reynolds plays Alice Chilton, one of the coaches of the Lady Greyhounds team alongside Lasso and Coach Beard. Alice's story is about peeling back a hard outer shell to discover the softness underneath. This character's development will be one of the season's key themes. ## New Cast Members and Their Roles The fourth season of Ted Lasso will feature many additional players, just like the previous seasons. However, this season, five new characters will take center stage, playing significant roles in the story, much like Roy, Jamie, and Sam did in earlier seasons. Elle's article provides details and photos of these new characters. ## Characters Not Returning Many beloved characters from previous seasons of Ted Lasso will not return for the fourth season. For example, AFC Richmond players like Jamie Tartt, Dani Rojas, and Sam Obisanya will not be regulars this season. These characters might make surprise cameo appearances, but they will largely be absent from the main cast. ## Nick Mohammed's Return Nick Mohammed will continue to portray Nate, Ted Lasso's friend-turned-nemesis. However, Mohammed will return in a more limited role rather than as a regular character. This raises questions about how Nate's story will progress. ## Main Characters Returning Ted Lasso's main characters, including Ted, Rebecca, Keeley, Roy, and Beard, are returning full-time for the fourth season. However, this time, they will work alongside new cast members rather than familiar faces from earlier seasons. This will add a new dynamic to the story. ## Audience Reactions The cast changes in Ted Lasso's fourth season have elicited mixed reactions from viewers. Some believe the new characters will bring fresh energy to the story, while others may miss the beloved characters from previous seasons. Audience reactions will become clearer once the season begins. ## Watching Options on Apple TV The fourth season of Ted Lasso will be available on Apple TV. Apple TV can be subscribed to for $12.99 per month or at a discounted rate through the Apple One bundle. This offers viewers a more affordable way to access the content. ## Sources covering this story - https://9to5mac.com/2026/07/27/ted-lasso-season-4-heres-whos-new-and-everyone-not-returning/ — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
