1Firebird's AI Factory in Armenia

Firebird opened the CIS region's largest AI factory in Armenia on August 8, 2026. The facility in Hrazdan is built on NVIDIA accelerated computing and Dell PowerEdge servers. The opening ceremony was attended by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Zhaslan Madiyev, and U.S. chargé d’affaires David Allen.

2Large-Scale Infrastructure Plan

Firebird plans to deploy over 70,000 NVIDIA Rubin and Blackwell GPUs and 300 megawatts of AI infrastructure capacity in Armenia by the end of 2027. The project moved from planning to operational capacity in just six months. Suppliers like Schneider Electric and Vertiv provided power and cooling infrastructure.

3NVIDIA DSX Platform

The facility is built on the NVIDIA DSX platform, which integrates compute, networking, power, and cooling into a single system. DSX allows 40% more GPUs to run in the same footprint, improving energy efficiency. This reduces the cost per token in power-constrained environments.

4Investments and Collaborations

Firebird received investments from NVIDIA and CoreWeave. The company is working with Perplexity to meet demand from AI-native customers. According to Firebird's data center page, the DC-1 facility has 6,144 NVIDIA B200 GPUs and 15 MW capacity. The DC-2 expansion is planned with 75,000 VR200 GPUs and 125 MW capacity.

5Technological Infrastructure Details

The facility connects via InfiniBand and Ethernet networks. Each node has a BlueField-3 DPU. Capacity is offered both as bare metal and multi-tenant cloud. DSX OS and DSX Flex software manage power at the GPU, rack, and workload levels.

6Rapid Progress and Expansion

Firebird signed a strategic collaboration agreement with the Armenian government and NVIDIA in June 2025. It secured a U.S. export license in November 2025. In February 2026, the project was expanded to $4 billion and 50,000 GPUs. U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced the expansion in Yerevan.

7Regional and Global Goals

Firebird aims to reach 70,000 GPUs and 300 MW capacity in Armenia by the end of 2027. The company plans to build approximately 2 gigawatts of AI infrastructure across Armenia, Kazakhstan, and other markets. Investments from NVIDIA and CoreWeave support this expansion.

8The Future of AI Infrastructure

Firebird's AI factory in Armenia is a significant step in strengthening regional AI infrastructure. NVIDIA technology and rapid delivery processes enhance the project's success. This facility contributes to the goal of building the largest and most advanced compute clusters in frontier markets.
