Weekend Gaming Plans and Personal Projects
Team members share their diverse leisure activities and upcoming gaming sessions for the weekend.
1Approaching Holiday Break
The author faces a final busy weekend before embarking on a three-week holiday. This period involves frantic organization and preparation for travel, leaving little room for genuine rest. The upcoming trip involves specific shopping goals, including new glasses and trainers, hinting at a destination known for these particular retail items.
2House Moves and Gaming
Edwin reports that his weekend will be dominated by assisting with a house move, significantly limiting his available time for leisure. Despite these logistical challenges, he remains committed to playing Queen's Domain. He expresses satisfaction regarding the recent attention and stir that the specific game has caused within the gaming community.
3Walkthroughs and Personal Wellbeing
Jeremy is currently focused on completing a Castlevania walkthrough project as he nears the final stages of development. To manage recent anxiety, he plans to prioritize sleep and quality time with his wife. Their weekend schedule includes a planned dim sum meal on Sunday afternoon to navigate a busy end-of-year period.
4Remasters and Secret Projects
Mark maintains discretion regarding his primary gaming activities for the weekend, keeping specific titles under wraps. If he finds additional free time, he intends to continue playing the Assassin's Creed 3 remaster. His approach involves navigating the game's mechanics while balancing his undisclosed primary project throughout the remaining two days.
5Humorous Euphemisms for Leisure
James jokingly dismisses the idea of playing video games, claiming he prefers refining a perpetual motion machine instead. This statement is acknowledged by the team as a humorous euphemism for relaxing in a rocking chair. His weekend plans involve low-intensity activities, specifically snacking on off-brand Doritos rather than engaging with digital entertainment.
6Retro Gaming and Strategy
Ollie plans to revisit the game Marathon, citing a specific fondness for its map design and atmosphere. To balance the intensity of that experience, he is considering finally starting Captain Of Industry. He has been preparing for this transition by watching online gameplay videos to better understand the game's complex mechanics.
7Outdoor Camping Expeditions
Callum has opted for an outdoor excursion, planning to go camping for the weekend. His preparation is described as unconventional, involving a suit constructed from tent canvas and tentpoles. This makeshift gear made his departure via a rope ladder a notably awkward and physically challenging sight for the rest of the team.
8Advent Calendar Lobbying
Julian is currently playing various titles to evaluate the team's Advent Calendar selections. His goal is to either support their existing votes or lobby for his own favorite games of the year. Additionally, he is troubleshooting technical issues to play Crimson Skies, specifically aiming to pilot the Hughes P21-J Devastator aircraft.
