Users can now generate new AI images directly within search results when they can't find what they're looking for. This will be particularly useful for content creators and designers. ## How It Works The system automatically converts search terms into text prompts. Google's new Nano Banana AI model then instantly generates the desired image. The entire process happens within the AI Overviews window without needing to leave the search page. ## Personalized Imagery The new feature is designed for specific needs, aiming to help users bring their 'highly specific visions' to life. For example, when a particular concept image doesn't exist online, the AI will fill this gap. ## Dynamic Image Gallery Google Images interface is also getting a major update. Images will now update in real-time and be personalized based on user interests. This makes search results more dynamic and user-focused. ## Improved Collection Management In the new interface, favorite images can still be saved to collections, but these will now appear as tabs above the main gallery. Users can more easily switch between saved images and ongoing searches. ## AI's Deeper Search Integration This update is part of Google's strategy to more deeply integrate AI into search. Launching in English in the US in coming weeks, it signals AI's growing role in everyday tools. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.zdnet.com/article/google-search-generate-ai-images-free/ — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
