1Three-Day Inflow Momentum

U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs recorded $137.33 million in inflows on Wednesday, extending a three-day positive streak. This brings the total weekly accumulation to approximately $423.66 million. Despite recent market volatility, these consistent inflows provide a stronger institutional backdrop for bitcoin prices as the market enters the second half of the week.

2Blackrock Dominance in Flows

Blackrock’s IBIT remains the primary driver of demand, contributing $136.01 million of Wednesday’s total. Bitwise’s BITB added a marginal $1.32 million. While the consistency is encouraging, the concentration of capital within a single issuer highlights a dependency that may require broader participation from other major issuers to ensure long-term market durability.

3Institutional Cost Basis Analysis

Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart estimates the average primary-market cost basis for U.S. bitcoin ETF creations at just under $82,000. Collectively, these funds hold approximately 1.3 million bitcoin. This figure serves as a gauge for capital entry points, though secondary-market trading makes precise calculations of current holder profitability difficult to determine.

4Ether Outflow Trends

Ether ETFs experienced $21.41 million in outflows on Wednesday, continuing a weekly negative streak. However, the pace of withdrawals is slowing significantly compared to Monday’s $88.58 million loss. Total outflows for the first three sessions reached $170.21 million, with internal rotation occurring as some funds attract capital despite overall category redemptions.

5Internal Rotation Dynamics

While Blackrock’s ETHA saw $44.83 million in outflows, other products like Fidelity’s FETH attracted $18.78 million. Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust and Morgan Stanley’s MSSE also saw minor inflows. This divergence suggests that investors are reallocating capital within the ether ecosystem, even as the broader category faces persistent selling pressure during this period.

6Solana and Zcash Performance

Solana ETFs shed $5.66 million on Wednesday through Bitwise’s BSOL, bringing the weekly total loss to $33.05 million. Conversely, Zcash continues to defy broader market trends, with Grayscale’s ZCSH recording its seventh consecutive session of inflows. Zcash has successfully added $7.48 million this week, marking a distinct outlier in current crypto ETF performance.

7Market Trading Activity

Bitcoin ETF trading value reached $1.26 billion on Wednesday, marking the lowest volume of the week so far. Despite lower trading activity, net assets climbed to $104.88 billion. Meanwhile, ether ETF trading activity hit $480.72 million, with net assets closing at $14.27 billion as the market navigates ongoing risk reduction phases.

8Institutional Sponsorship Outlook

The emerging pattern in crypto ETFs is defined by persistence and asset-specific recovery. If current trends hold through Thursday, the market may see a clearer separation between assets regaining institutional sponsorship and those still struggling. The focus remains on whether broader issuer participation can sustain the momentum established by Blackrock’s recent inflows.
