1Saylor Calls Cycle Bottom

Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor announced that bitcoin recently bottomed slightly below $60,000, signaling the onset of a new bull phase. Speaking to Bloomberg, he predicted prices will surpass $100,000 without setting a strict deadline, while projecting 20% to 30% annualized gains across the next two decades.

2Technical Rebound Confirms Trend

Saylor highlighted that macroeconomic pressures, including trade and monetary policies, previously weighed on crypto valuations. However, bitcoin recently dipped under its critical 200-week moving average before quickly rebounding to trade at a 25% premium, confirming renewed bullish momentum as the asset stabilized around the $83,000 level.

3AI Scarce Asset Thesis

Saylor integrated artificial intelligence trends into his investment thesis, arguing that investors will seek assets machines cannot replicate. He labeled bitcoin the ultimate commodity that resists algorithmic inflation, describing the asset as pure financial energy that Strategy actively converts into structured digital credit products for traditional capital markets.

4Ignoring Political Election Risks

Addressing political uncertainty, Saylor dismissed potential fallout from the upcoming 2028 elections. He argued that regulatory politics become irrelevant if the crypto sector provides functional financial products that users value highly. Market adoption, according to Saylor, will ultimately override any shifting political headwinds or policy changes.

5Clarifying Historical Bitcoin Sales

Addressing controversial past sales, Saylor explained that initial sales of 32 coins caused concern, but subsequent liquidations did not derail market growth. He positioned Strategy as a structured finance firm that actively shifts across equity, debt, cash, and digital tokens depending on macro market dynamics and yield spreads.

6Expanding Massive Corporate Treasury

Saylor emphasized that selling is not the ongoing plan, noting Strategy accumulated more bitcoin this year than corporate peers. Following an addition of 250 coins on October 12, holdings reached 848,250 BTC. The firm plans to fund further purchases by issuing specialized digital credit and debt securities.

7Outperforming Underlying Bitcoin Asset

Saylor highlighted corporate performance since Strategy adopted its crypto reserve model in August 2020. Over that period, bitcoin achieved annualized gains of approximately 38%, while Strategy equity returned roughly 52% to 53% annually, demonstrating the leveraged upside of their dynamic balance-sheet financing model.

8MSCI Index Inclusion Decision

Strategy faces an immediate institutional test as MSCI prepares an October 16 decision regarding equity index eligibility rules. JPMorgan analysts warned that index exclusion could jeopardize $2.8 billion in passive fund inflows. Saylor called MSCI’s proposed exclusion stance disappointing while expressing hope for an institutional policy reconsideration.
