AD PRO Directory designers showcase their creativity in these small spaces, transforming each into a work of art. From intentional pattern mixing to carved stone sinks, every detail adds character to these intimate spaces. ## Houston's Jewel Box Creative Tonic Design's founder Courtnay Tartt Elias converted an under-stair nook in a 1923 Houston home into a jewel-box powder room. Featuring an Italian black marble sink, brass fixtures, and geometric wallpaper, the space demonstrates how to maximize small footprints with luxurious details. ## Light Play in Austin Annie Downing created warmth in a windowless Austin powder room through soft lighting solutions. Alabaster sconces, steel mirrors, and onyx-handled faucets answered the client's request for mixed textures. The design proves lighting can dramatically alter a small space's perception. ## Blue-White Harmony in Nashville Kate Figler fulfilled her client's blue-white request in a Nashville project using Quadrille wallpaper and matching millwork. Traditional brass fixtures and a console sink provided glamorous contrast to the home's muted tones, showing how powder rooms can break design rules. ## Moody Romance in Tahoe Mead Quin designed a 'lived-in' romantic atmosphere for a Lake Tahoe powder room. Hand-plastered walls, lava stone vanity, and hammered metal mirror created textural depth. The project illustrates how small spaces can evoke big emotions through material selection. ## Fashion Flair in New York Studio DB infused fashion energy into a prewar NYC apartment's powder room with Gucci wallpaper. Marble and brass details balanced with playful concrete tiles created what the designers call 'polished but not too serious' - a perfect approach for entertaining spaces. ## Beverly Hills Surprise Maya Williams delivered the unexpected in a Trousdale Estates residence with emerald quartz walls and vanity. The naturally reflective stone created depth illusion while dark hues promoted relaxation, proving powder rooms can be both dramatic and intimate. ## Design Principles These projects reveal key strategies for impactful small-space design: bold pattern mixing, strategic lighting, luxury materials, and unexpected details. Each designer transformed spatial limitations into advantages, creating memorable guest experiences within tight footprints. ## Conclusion These nine powder rooms demonstrate design's transformative power. From Houston to Beverly Hills, AD PRO Directory designers push boundaries with innovative solutions that maximize small spaces. Their work proves powder rooms can become home's most exciting design statements when creativity meets functionality. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.architecturaldigest.com/story/7-punchy-powder-room-ideas-from-ad-pro-directory-designers — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
