ASUS ROG Spatha X 65K: A Revolutionary Design for MMO Mice
This mouse with a charging dock offers a new experience for gamers.
1Innovation with Charging Dock
The ASUS ROG Spatha X 65K comes with a charging dock that serves as a 2.4 GHz receiver, charger, and battery status indicator. Just 15 minutes of charging provides 25 hours of gaming. This feature offers a significant advantage for gamers.
2High-Performance Features
The Spatha X 65K boasts 12 programmable buttons, a 65,000 dpi AimPoint Pro sensor, and hot-swappable Push-Fit Socket III switches. Its 126-gram body can be customized with 10-gram weights. These features make it an ideal choice for MMO gamers.
3Weight and Balance System
The mouse offers five configurations with weights placed at the front, middle, and rear. This system optimizes wrist movements during use. ASUS markets it as a balance system, but it actually provides better control through weight distribution.
4Ergonomic Design and Buttons
The thumb buttons are designed to resemble the ROG logo, with each button having a unique profile. This allows users to identify buttons by feel. Additionally, the Mayan-inspired side grip pattern and dished primary buttons enhance comfort.
5Technical Details and Sensor
The Spatha X 65K features a 65,000 dpi AimPoint Pro sensor. However, most gamers don’t play above 3,200 dpi. The high dpi value is more for marketing. The key feature is the 11 preset lift-off distances, which improve precision.
6Durability and Replaceable Switches
The mouse comes with Push-Fit Socket III switches that are easily replaceable. The box includes switch tweezers, two spare ROG Silent Micro Switches, PTFE feet, and grip tape. The standard switches are rated for 100 million clicks, ensuring longevity.
7Software and Setup
Configuration is done through Gear Link in a browser, eliminating the need for Armoury Crate software. This is a significant convenience for users who have struggled with ASUS software in the past.
8Price and Expectations
ASUS has not yet announced a price or release date for the Spatha X 65K. Given that the 2021 model was around $150, this model is expected to come with a higher price tag. For gamers, this mouse could be a high-performance and ergonomic investment.
