Sculptural Dubai Home: Where Arches and Light Define Everyday Luxury
Designed with white tones and arches, this villa redefines tranquility.
1Natural Light and Simplicity
The White Arcade, a renovated home in Dubai's The Villa community, is draped in warm whites, creamy stone, and soft brass. Bathed in natural light, the spaces have been transformed from heavy Spanish architecture into a serene retreat. The design aims to create an emotional sanctuary for the family.
2Rhythm of Arches
Arches are at the heart of the architecture. Inspired by Moorish traditions, this detail creates a rhythmic sequence throughout the home. Light oak herringbone flooring and picture-frame moldings balance the fluidity of curves, offering a timeless aesthetic.
3Central Courtyard
The double-height, glass-roofed courtyard is the home's most striking architectural feature. Daylight floods into surrounding rooms from here. Mature trees and curved DOT Objects furniture blur the line between architecture and furnishings, creating harmony.
4Bespoke Furniture
Nearly all major furnishings, from seating to dining tables, were designed by Tokai's DOT Objects brand. The white onyx table required 15 people to assemble its arched bases. Furniture is treated as an extension of the architecture itself.
5Material Richness
Despite its monochromatic appearance, the material palette is rich: textured plaster, Carrara marble, travertine, and oak. White enhances proportions and brings order to daily life. A hidden sage-green prep kitchen adds warmth without disrupting the calm atmosphere.
6Emotional Architecture
Tokai's philosophy of 'artful minimalism' transforms this villa into more than a living space—it becomes a place of emotional well-being. Every arch and custom design creates a calming effect. The architecture emerges as an expression of tranquility and beauty.
