Larvotto Resources Dispatches First Antimony Shipment from Hillgrove Mine
Australian critical minerals producer delivers maiden concentrate to Wogen Resources under mine-gate agreement.
1Maiden Antimony Shipment Dispatched
Larvotto Resources has officially commenced critical minerals production, dispatching its maiden commercial delivery from the Hillgrove mine in New South Wales. The initial shipment involved a truck carrying 68 tonnes of high-grade antimony concentrate delivered directly to offtake partner Wogen Resources, marking a major operational milestone.
2Strategic Mine-Gate Offtake Structure
The commercial transaction operates under an efficient mine-gate offtake agreement with Wogen Resources. Wogen collects the material directly at the site and issues an initial part-payment upon pickup. This structure provides immediate working capital without exposing the producer to prolonged marine shipping delays or extended laboratory assay waiting times.
3Settlement and Assaying Mechanism
To finalize commercial terms, a secondary and final payment will follow once independent assay results confirm the exact metal content of the concentrate. This two-stage cash settlement mechanism mitigates initial working capital friction for Larvotto as plant operations transition from developmental testing into full-scale ongoing commercial production.
4Global Production Scale Targets
Hillgrove underwent extensive plant upgrades and redevelopment to achieve an annual target output of 4,900 tonnes of antimony and 40,500 ounces of gold. Reaching these targets will position Hillgrove as one of the largest antimony operations globally, controlling approximately seven percent of worldwide supply.
5Plant Processing and Ramp-Up Metrics
According to management, operational availability at the processing facility is currently running ahead of the original commissioning schedule. Daily throughput volumes are increasing steadily, while concentrate grades continue to improve as technical teams fine-tune plant performance across the primary mineral processing circuit during the ramp-up phase.
6Resource Grade and Gold Strategy
Located near Armidale, Hillgrove hosts a mineral resource of 1.7 million ounces of gold equivalent at an average grade of 7.4 grams per tonne. Managing director Ron Heeks confirmed that with the antimony circuit stabilized, operational focus is broadening toward shipments of gold concentrate and gold doré bars.
7Long-Term Tungsten Expansion Horizon
Beyond gold and antimony, Larvotto is planning a future tungsten production stream targeted for 2027. Amid Chinese export restrictions and concentrated global supplies, the company is finalizing metallurgical flowsheets and processing equipment selections following positive testwork on the deposit's underlying tungsten mineralisation.
8Strategic Position in Critical Minerals
Transitioning from mineral explorer to revenue-generating producer de-risks Larvotto's operational balance sheet. Generating near-term cash flow while securing seven percent of global antimony capacity provides the company with substantial market leverage in critical defense and industrial supply chains increasingly vulnerable to international trade restrictions.
