Aurum Resources Reports High-Grade Gold Intercepts at Boundiali Project
New drilling results bolster resource expansion ahead of the upcoming Côte d’Ivoire update.
1Strategic Drilling Success
Aurum Resources has successfully extended gold mineralisation at its flagship Boundiali project in Côte d’Ivoire. The company completed 25 diamond drill holes, totaling 5,651 metres, just before the September 30, 2026, cut-off date. These results are critical for the upcoming resource upgrade, which aims to expand the current 3.22-million-ounce gold estimate.
2High-Grade BST1 Results
The BST1 deposit delivered a standout intersection of 57 metres at 2.34 grams per tonne gold from 290 metres. This intercept included a high-grade two-metre section grading 37.95 grams per tonne, significantly exceeding the one-ounce-per-tonne benchmark. These findings suggest the deposit holds substantial potential for further resource growth beyond existing boundaries.
3BMT2 and BMT3 Prospects
Drilling at the BMT2 prospect returned 28.35 metres at 2.02 grams per tonne gold, including a seven-metre section at 4.80 grams per tonne. Meanwhile, the 750,000-ounce BMT3 deposit yielded a 10-metre run at 2.65 grams per tonne. These results confirm the presence of high-grade gold across multiple targets within the tenement.
4Operational Scale and Capacity
Aurum is executing a massive 180,000-metre drilling program this calendar year, utilizing a fleet of 16 company-owned diamond drill rigs. Of this total, 150,000 metres are dedicated to Boundiali, while 30,000 metres target the Napié project. This aggressive exploration strategy is supported by a strong financial position following a recent 52.5 million dollar placement.
5Geological Context and Potential
Both Boundiali and Napié are situated within the Birimian Greenstone Belt, a region known for hosting multi-million-ounce deposits. Aurum’s tenements are located near major assets like Resolute Mining’s nine-million-ounce Syama mine and Montage Gold’s eight-million-ounce Koné project. This geological neighborhood reinforces the company's confidence in the area's significant, untapped gold potential.
6Development and Regulatory Progress
The company has achieved key development milestones, including securing environmental approvals in May and delivering a pre-feasibility study in June. Aurum is currently awaiting the grant of its mining licences. Management is pushing toward a definitive feasibility study due by late 2026, with first gold production targeted for the first half of 2028.
7Resource Update Expectations
Market participants are closely monitoring the upcoming resource update, expected at the end of the month. Because many of the recent intercepts fall outside the current resource envelopes, analysts anticipate a potential uplift to the total resource count. This update serves as a pivotal moment for the company's valuation and long-term growth strategy.
8Future Exploration Outlook
Despite extensive drilling, Aurum has only targeted shallow anomalies and outcropping areas so far. The company maintains that a swarm of untested targets remains within the Boundiali block. With a war chest exceeding 95 million dollars, Aurum is well-positioned to continue its aggressive exploration and potentially discover further significant gold mineralisation.
