Lihit Lab's A-2068 solves this by folding from A4 to A5 size. The mechanical slider allows users to transform the board's size with one simple action, maintaining functionality while improving convenience. ## Mechanical Engineering Marvel The locking mechanism ensures a completely rigid writing surface when opened—a significant advantage for field workers filling out forms. The one-handed clip operation enhances user experience by allowing easy document attachment without awkward handling. ## Smart Features for Transportation The design includes a paper stopper and elastic band to secure contents when folded. Made from polypropylene body with ABS resin mechanism, it offers durability at just 14mm thickness. With capacity for 15 sheets, it meets most fieldwork documentation needs. ## Color Options and Dimensions Available in Terracotta Orange, Slate Blue, and Ivory, the board measures 234x339mm when open and reduces to 165mm height when folded. Priced around $28 internationally, this Japanese-made product combines functionality with thoughtful design. ## Different Approach Than Competing Solutions While storage clipboards add bulk with compartments, the A-2068 reduces size through folding without sacrificing utility. This demonstrates how innovative thinking can transform even simple everyday objects. ## Small Solution with Big Impact This design significantly improves the workflow for field professionals, proving how simple yet thoughtful updates to familiar objects can enhance daily productivity. It addresses unspoken needs users didn't realize they had. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.yankodesign.com/2026/07/15/nobody-expected-a-28-folding-clipboard-to-be-this-well-thought-out/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=nobody-expected-a-28-folding-clipboard-to-be-this-well-thought-out — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
