With its new hub in Silicon Valley, the company aims to attract engineers worldwide. However, it focuses on culture and mission rather than engaging in high-salary wars. ## Talent war The talent war in AI and robotics is heating up. While companies like Meta offer nine-figure signing bonuses, Agility Robotics stays away from such offers. The company prioritizes candidates who align with its culture and mission. ## New facility Agility Robotics has opened a 60,000-square-foot research and training facility in Fremont. This facility will house around 200 employees and serve as a 'robot school' to teach new skills to the Digit robot. ## Competitive environment The new facility in Fremont is located near giants like Meta and Tesla. This area hosts one of the world's deepest pools of technical talent, intensifying competition in robotics. ## Digit's success Digit has accumulated over 65,000 hours of operation in manufacturing, distribution, and logistics. Currently, its primary tasks include picking up bins and moving them to another location, with plans to take on more complex tasks in the future. ## Future plans Agility Robotics plans to go public via a SPAC this year. In an SEC filing, the company stated it has received over $300 million in conditional multiyear orders for its next-generation Digit V5. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.businessinsider.com/agility-robotics-humanoid-ai-talent-bidding-wars-salary-compensation-2026-7 — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
