This promotion applies to eligible new Windows 11 Home PCs and specific gaming handhelds purchased in the United States. The collection includes titles ranging from classic franchises to modern Bethesda RPGs. ## Hardware Eligibility Requirements The offer is strictly limited to consumer machines running Windows 11 Home. Standard Windows 11 Pro PCs are excluded, with the sole exception of qualifying NVIDIA RTX Spark devices. Refurbished units, open-box specials, display models, and marketplace reseller purchases do not qualify for this specific promotional bundle offer. ## Purchase and Activation Timeline Customers must purchase and activate their new device from an authorized U.S. retailer between November 2 and December 31. The bundle will appear in the Microsoft Store library no later than November 30. Users must officially claim their digital licenses through the Microsoft Store app by February 12, 2027. ## Permanent Ownership Model These games are provided as permanent digital ownership licenses tied directly to the user's personal Microsoft account. No Xbox Game Pass subscription is required to access or play these titles. Sixteen of the included games feature Xbox Play Anywhere support, allowing users to run them on their consoles as well. ## Account and Age Restrictions The bundle is limited to one claim per Microsoft account and cannot be transferred or split among different users. It is advised to redeem the offer on an account set to 18 or older to prevent Windows family filters from locking access to M-rated titles like Skyrim or Fallout. ## Technical Performance Considerations Hardware requirements vary significantly across the 25 titles. While retro classics like Quake will run on most systems, heavier games like Fallout 76 require dedicated graphics power. If a device cannot run a specific game, the license remains permanently tied to the account for use on future, more powerful hardware. ## Redemption Process Details Redemption occurs directly through the Microsoft Store app rather than via external codes. Users must sign in to their primary account, navigate to the Library icon, and select the Included with device tab. Once the bundle is located, clicking Claim adds all 25 games to the user's digital library. ## Strategic Market Positioning By bundling software valued at over $569.99, Microsoft aims to incentivize hardware sales during the holiday season. This strategy leverages the company's deep catalog of intellectual property to differentiate Windows 11 Home devices. The move emphasizes the integration between the Windows ecosystem and the broader Xbox gaming platform. ## Sources covering this story - [Mashable — Microsoft Offers 25 Free Xbox Games With New Windows 11 PCs](https://mashable.com/tech/microsoft-windows-11-pc-free-xbox-games-deal) - [TechSpot — Microsoft Bundles 25 Xbox Games With New Windows PC Purchases](https://www.techspot.com/news/114437-microsoft-giving-away-25-xbox-games-worth-over.html) --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
