1Project Overview and Scale

The Guest House project, designed by Mints Design, encompasses a total area of 640 square meters. Completed in 2026, this hospitality structure is situated within an extensive natural site in Ukraine. The architectural concept prioritizes a seamless connection between the built environment and the surrounding wilderness landscape, establishing a foundation for the design.

2Architectural Design Leadership

Volodymyr Mints and Anastasiia Shynkarenko served as the lead architects for this development. The project team included Anastasiia Bakurova on the design side, with Oleksandra Vdovichenko managing technical aspects. This collaborative effort ensured that the complex architectural requirements were met while maintaining the core vision of integrating the building into the natural terrain.

3Engineering and Structural Expertise

Technical execution involved a specialized consulting team to address the complex site requirements. Bogdan Konovalov provided engineering consulting, while Andrii Pichkur oversaw structural integrity. Serhii Tretiakov contributed as the civil engineering consultant, ensuring the 640-square-meter facility adheres to necessary safety standards and environmental integration strategies required for such a remote location.

4Material Selection and Aesthetics

The project emphasizes the use of natural materials, specifically wood and stone, to harmonize with the wilderness setting. These materials were selected to reflect the local environment while providing a durable finish for the hospitality space. The design avoids synthetic dominance, focusing instead on textures that complement the rugged Ukrainian landscape surrounding the site.

5Curated Interior Furnishings

Mints Design incorporated products from several high-end manufacturers to complete the interior spaces. Brands such as &Tradition, Audo, Eichholtz, and FREDERICIA were utilized alongside GUBI, Gervasoni 1882, and Gushka. These selections highlight a commitment to quality furniture and lighting, balancing the raw architectural exterior with refined, contemporary interior comfort for future guests.

6Landscape Integration Strategy

The architectural concept is fundamentally rooted in the wilderness landscape. Rather than imposing a structure upon the site, the design team utilized the natural topography as the primary foundation. This approach ensures that the Guest House functions as part of a larger architectural complex, preserving the integrity of the surrounding natural environment throughout.

7Documentation and Visual Records

Photographic documentation of the completed project was provided by Anastasiia Shynkarenko. These images capture the interplay between the building materials and the natural light within the Ukrainian wilderness. The visual record serves as a primary reference for the project's spatial layout, material application, and the overall success of the architectural integration strategy.

8Significance in Hospitality Design

The 2026 completion of this Guest House marks a notable addition to Ukrainian hospitality architecture. By prioritizing site-specific design and professional engineering collaboration, the project demonstrates how modern lodging can respect natural surroundings. It stands as a case study for architects balancing technical structural requirements with aesthetic harmony in remote, natural environments.
