The 85-inch model, normally priced at $2,499.99, is now selling for $1,697.99. This represents a 32% discount. According to price tracking tools, this TV has reached its lowest price ever. Similar discounts are available for other sizes as well. ## Prices and Savings by Size The 65-inch model is priced at $1,197.99 ($302 off), the 75-inch at $1,297.99 ($200 off), and the massive 98-inch model at $2,797.99 ($1,202 off). The QM7L series sits between the more budget-friendly QM6L and the premium QM8L. It's available in various sizes ranging from 55 inches to 98 inches. ## Technical Specifications and Performance The 85-inch model features 1,624 dimming zones. This technology enables the TV to deliver deep blacks and high contrast. While maximum brightness is advertised as 3,000 nits, some reviews show it can reach up to 3,500 nits. The glossy screen helps reduce sunlight reflections but may show rainbow effects under direct light. ## Color Performance and Calibration The QM7L's biggest drawback is color accuracy. Out of the box, the image appears warmer than intended, and HDR content tends to have a blue tint. Users who prioritize color accuracy might consider professional calibration, though this would incur additional costs. The issue is noticeable in creator-intended content viewing. ## Gaming and Entertainment Experience With a 144Hz refresh rate, gaming performance is exceptionally smooth. Equipped with Google AI and Bang & Olufsen audio technologies, the TV delivers impressive sound quality. Smart TV features provide easy access to streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney+. Voice command functionality adds to the user convenience. ## Price-Performance Comparison The QM7L is over $1,000 cheaper than the premium QM8L for the 85-inch model. It offers many of the same premium features without straining your budget. Thanks to Mini LED technology, it delivers significantly better picture quality than standard LCD TVs. It's particularly attractive for those seeking large screens. ## Design and Ease of Use The slim bezel design maximizes the screen real estate. The TV is easy to mount and includes wall-mounting options. The remote control stands out with its ergonomic design. The Google TV interface makes content discovery effortless. User-friendly menus ensure quick access to settings without hassle. ## Who Should Consider This? Ideal for those wanting a large screen with high contrast and brightness but can't afford premium models. Gamers will appreciate the 144Hz refresh rate. While it delivers deep blacks for movies, color accuracy might not satisfy professionals. The current discount makes it an irresistible opportunity for budget-conscious large-screen seekers. ## Sources covering this story - https://lifehacker.com/tech/this-massive-mini-led-qled-from-tcl-is-800-off-right-now?utm_medium=RSS — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
