Massive Pixel 11 leak reveals all details of Google's next phones
Google's new phones accidentally appeared early on Amazon
1Pixel 11 series appears early on Amazon
Google's yet-to-be-announced Pixel 11 series phones were accidentally listed on Amazon. The leak revealed prices, specs, and color options for all models. The base Pixel 11 with 256GB storage appears to start at $899.
2Price increase and storage changes
The Pixel 11 series will see a $100 price hike compared to last year. Also, the 128GB option is being removed, with base storage upgraded to 256GB. Pro models show 12GB RAM instead of 16GB in some versions, possibly indicating a memory crisis.
3Pixel 11 Pro Fold battery shrinks
The foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold will start at $1,899. Interestingly, this year's model will use a smaller 4,750mAh battery instead of last year's 5,000mAh. Other features include a 6.5-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.
4Color options and model variety
The Pixel 11 will come in four colors: Frost, Pistachio, Hibiscus, and Obsidian. The series includes four models: standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The Pro XL with its 6.8-inch display and 5,115mAh battery appears to target the premium segment.
5Technical specifications and innovations
All models will feature 120Hz OLED displays. Pro models will offer 120x digital zoom with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0 support. However, contrary to expectations, Wi-Fi 7 support doesn't appear to be coming with this series.
6What it means for the industry
This leak indicates rising costs in the smartphone market. Increasing component prices and memory crisis are putting pressure on manufacturers. Google's scaling back of some features despite price hikes reflects the pressures in the consumer electronics industry.
