The plan includes unlimited 5G Ultra Wideband access, 10GB hotspot, and basic features like 720p streaming and Canada/Mexico roaming. Unlike traditional plans, Simplicity focuses on transparent pricing without device promotions, requiring customers to bring their own device or use separate financing options. ## Simplicity Plus Financing Options Verizon introduced Simplicity Plus and Pro financing programs that allow more frequent device upgrades. While costing more than standard financing, these options let customers upgrade within a year. The trade-off is clear: lower monthly plan costs but separate device expenses. This approach differs from Verizon's traditional model where device costs were bundled into higher monthly plan fees. ## myPlan Premium Offerings Verizon's myPlan lineup includes three tiers: Unlimited Ultimate ($95), Unlimited Plus ($80), and Unlimited Welcome ($65) for single lines. These maintain Verizon's traditional model with device promotions, network priority, and more features. The Ultimate plan offers 200GB hotspot and 4K streaming, while Welcome provides only basic network access. Current promotions can reduce multi-line costs significantly. ## Network Access Comparison Simplicity provides full 5G Ultra Wideband access, matching Verizon's premium plans. The Welcome plan caps speeds at 25Mbps, while Plus and Ultimate offer uncapped premium data. All plans throttle after certain data thresholds (500GB for Simplicity/Welcome). This makes Simplicity particularly attractive for heavy data users who prioritize network performance over device subsidies. ## International Features Simplicity includes basic Mexico/Canada roaming and satellite texting. The Welcome plan adds 2GB/day high-speed data in these countries, while Ultimate offers full international roaming with 15GB high-speed data. For frequent travelers, the premium plans may justify their higher costs, though Simplicity covers basic cross-border needs. ## Device Promotion Differences The key distinction lies in device offers: myPlan includes phone upgrades and trade-in deals, while Simplicity has none. Verizon estimates customers could save $600+ annually with Simplicity by avoiding bundled device costs. This appeals particularly to users who keep phones longer or prefer buying devices outright. ## Connected Device Discounts Simplicity offers no discounts on connected devices, while Plus gives 50% off one tablet/smartwatch line and Ultimate discounts two. This reflects Verizon's strategy to differentiate plans by ancillary services. Customers needing multiple connected devices may find more value in premium plans despite higher base costs. ## Strategic Shift in Wireless Pricing Verizon's 2026 plans mark an industry shift toward unbundling device costs from service fees. The Simplicity plan responds to growing consumer demand for transparent, affordable options, while myPlan maintains traditional carrier economics. This dual approach lets Verizon compete on both price and premium features, covering diverse customer segments in an increasingly competitive market. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.droid-life.com/2026/09/03/best-verizon-unlimited-plan-2026/ — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
