Xiaomi 17 Series Receives Android 17 Update
Xiaomi's new HyperOS 3 brings Android 17 to users.
1Xiaomi 17 Series Gets Android 17
The Xiaomi 17, 17 Ultra, and 17T Pro models have started receiving the Android 17 update. Xiaomi refers to this update as HyperOS 3. Although it carries the same version number as the Android 16-based HyperOS, the Xiaomi 17 series is among the first devices to receive the stable version of Android 17.
2Update Rolls Out Starting in India
The update first reached users in India. The firmware version is identified as 3.0.331.0.XPCINXM.C10, with the security patch dated June 5. Xiaomi has announced that the update is also rolling out to Europe and other markets.
3Xiaomi 17 Ultra and 17T Pro Included
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is also receiving the same update, while the 17T Pro model is being treated as a flagship and upgraded to Android 17. However, the Xiaomi 17T model has not yet received this update. If your 17T has been updated to Android 17, reporting it is important.
4Security Patch or Full Version?
The update was initially presented as a simple security patch. However, the 7.2GB download size cast doubt on this claim. In reality, the update included a full Android version, even though the HyperOS version number remained the same.
5A Significant Step for Users
Xiaomi 17, 17 Ultra, or 17T Pro users are advised to check if they receive a security patch notification on their devices. This update offers the opportunity to experience the latest Android version.
6Xiaomi's Android 17 Strategy
Xiaomi is staying ahead of the competition by quickly delivering the Android 17 update to its users. This move is seen as part of the brand's strategy to embrace current technology and enhance user satisfaction.
