Ramón Esteve Designs Mel Collection for Vondom

The fusion of monolithic forms and ergonomic comfort

1The Birth of the Mel Collection

Vondom and architect Ramón Esteve introduced the Mel collection, featuring upholstered sofas, lounge chairs, and side tables defined by monolithic, single-stroke forms. The design combines ergonomic comfort with an avant-garde aesthetic.

2The Aesthetics of Single-Piece Forms

The Mel collection reflects Ramón Esteve's signature focus on clean lines, balanced proportions, and minimalist forms. Each piece is crafted as a continuous shape with no visible joints, giving the collection a fluid appearance.

3Production Technology and Material

The collection is produced using rotational molding technology. The polyethylene material is available in matte or lacquered finishes across a diverse color palette, offering durability in demanding environments.

4Durability and Color Preservation

The material of the Mel collection features a UV8 factor, equivalent to 8,000 hours of Florida sunlight, ensuring color preservation and structural integrity under extreme conditions.

5Upholstery and Comfort

Upholstery plays a central role in the collection, adding texture and warmth. The fabric cushions integrate seamlessly with the polyethylene base, enhancing the overall perception of quality while remaining lightweight and easy to reposition.

6The Convergence of Technology and Function

The Mel collection brings together technology, functionality, and lasting comfort. This design sets a new standard for outdoor seating solutions, offering an inviting atmosphere for users.
