## Upcoming League Fixture

Benfica enters the 11th round of the I Liga riding a seven-game winning streak across all competitions. The team travels to Estádio José Gomes this Sunday to face Estrela da Amadora. Coach Marco Silva emphasizes that maintaining this momentum is vital as the squad continues to refine its collective identity.

## Tactical Midfield Adjustments

Silva explains that dropping the defensive midfielder deeper allows full-backs like El Karouani more offensive freedom. By pulling the number six between center-backs, Benfica aims to manipulate the opponent's defensive lines. This movement creates space for interior players, forcing Estrela to adapt their defensive block to counter these specific positional rotations.

## Defensive Line Hierarchy

Circati is currently competing for a starting spot alongside Tomás Araújo and Lenglet. Silva notes that while Circati is aggressive and fast, he is still adapting to Benfica's offensive-heavy style of play. The coach confirms that Lenglet is included in the squad list for the upcoming match against Estrela da Amadora.

## Goalkeeper Rotation Policy

Samuel Soares remains the current starter in the league, though Silva maintains full confidence in all three goalkeepers. The coach defended Trubin’s recent decision-making regarding short-passing build-up play. Silva insists that competitive pressure between the keepers is healthy and that all selection decisions prioritize the team's overall tactical requirements.

## Squad Depth Importance

Managing a long season requires significant squad depth to ensure players remain fresh. Silva highlights that hierarchy within the team is fluid and determined by performance in training and matches. He acknowledges that while he occasionally makes mistakes in selection, the goal is to maintain high standards across all positions.

## Contract Renewal Status

Addressing concerns regarding Prestianni, Silva urges fans to remain calm during the ongoing renewal process. He confirms that the club’s management is actively working on the player's contract. The coach emphasizes that the player is satisfied with his current situation and that the existing agreement is not as short as rumored.

## Coaching Career Reflections

Silva reflects on his professional relationship with rival coach Paulo, noting they have evolved significantly since their playing days. Despite their different career paths, they share mutual respect and history. Silva welcomes the challenge of facing experienced managers in the I Liga, viewing these tactical duels as essential for professional growth.

## League Infrastructure Challenges

Returning to Portuguese football involves navigating various challenges, including the need for improved infrastructure. Silva points to the necessity of better pitches and enhanced conditions for athletes and fans. Despite these hurdles, he highlights the high level of competitiveness and the tactical astuteness of coaches working within the domestic league.

## Evaluating Seasonal Progress

Final assessments of the season will only occur once results and trophies are tallied. Silva believes the team has made significant strides in establishing its playing identity and tactical processes. However, he remains cautious, noting that the squad still has considerable room for improvement before reaching their full potential.

## Strategic Focus Ahead

As Benfica prepares for Sunday, the focus remains on executing tactical plans while managing player fatigue. The team must balance defensive solidity with the offensive fluidity required to break down organized blocks. Silva’s approach hinges on continuous adaptation, ensuring the squad remains competitive while pursuing the club's long-term objectives.
