4Vocational Training for Women
Madrasat Addeera in AlUla has opened applications for its 2026–2027 vocational program, which focuses on design and handicrafts. Targeted at young women, the seven-month course combines design principles with practical training. Applications remain open until November 12, aiming to equip participants with skills to produce craft products inspired by local identity.
5Revitalizing Traditional Craftsmanship
The program at Madrasat Addeera prepares trainees to work in design studios, develop made-to-order items, and create corporate gifts using local materials. Since 2019, the center has functioned as a creative hub, seeking to revive traditional arts and attract international expertise to the governorate while fostering the region's unique cultural heritage.
6Historic Jeddah Cultural Offerings
Historic Jeddah remains a key destination within the Saudi Winter program, highlighting its UNESCO World Heritage status. Visitors can explore traditional markets, museums, and historic buildings featuring intricate wooden rawashin. Landmarks such as Nassif House and Bait Al-Sharbatly provide deep insights into the city's architectural history and past social life.
7Museums and Cultural Exchange
The Red Sea Museum, located in the historic Bab Al-Bunt building, examines the region's history regarding trade and cultural exchange. Additionally, the Tariq Abdulhakim Museum showcases the musical heritage of Saudi Arabia. These sites collectively reflect Jeddah's historical role as a primary gateway for travelers visiting the Two Holy Mosques.
8Strategic Cultural Sector Growth
These initiatives reflect a broader national strategy to empower creative talent and enhance cultural infrastructure across the Kingdom. By integrating public performances with specialized vocational training and heritage preservation, the authorities are systematically expanding the accessibility of arts, ensuring that both traditional crafts and modern theater reach diverse audiences nationwide.
