This efficient design addresses diverse public needs while reinforcing the village's social fabric through shared spaces. ## Design Philosophy Developed from the 2023 competition-winning proposal, architects Simon Hölbling and Alexandra Schmid Roner created distinct identities for each function while encouraging cross-user interactions. The design balances individuality with cohesive integration. ## Spatial Configuration The project intelligently positions emergency service areas alongside civilian spaces. Featuring products from brands like PREFA, the building prioritizes both operational efficiency and aesthetic harmony in its material selections. ## Community Impact Serving as a communal hub, the center will host cultural events while providing emergency services. Its archive and library sections will preserve regional heritage, creating layers of community value beyond immediate functionality. ## Project Timeline Scheduled for completion in 2026, the project elevates rural infrastructure standards in Austria. Construction emphasizes modern techniques and sustainable materials, reflecting contemporary building practices. ## Architectural Significance This successful example of multifunctional public architecture demonstrates how design can transform rural development. Its holistic approach to social infrastructure sets a benchmark for integrated community spaces. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.archdaily.com/1148649/fire-station-and-community-hall-motz-imgang-architekten — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
