These collectibles feature licensed tracks from major artists, with one song on each side. However, until now, playing them required standard turntables. ## Portable solution Responding to fan demand, the company developed a dedicated mini turntable. Sized like a shoebox, this device was designed from scratch. All components including tone arm, platter and control panel were custom-made for the miniature format. ## Price-performance balance Priced at $50, the Tiny Vinyl Player aims to reach its target audience by offering an option significantly cheaper than traditional turntables. The Nashville-based startup can now appeal to a broader community of music lovers. ## Technical details The biggest technical challenge was achieving accurate 33⅓rpm rotation in the miniature format. The turntable features built-in speakers and Bluetooth connectivity, while also offering wired connection for audiophiles. ## Accessory ecosystem Tiny Vinyl complements its player with storage for 5 records, while offering purchasable 'Crate' storage units and wall-mountable 'Frame' displays to enhance the collecting experience. ## Industry impact This venture highlights the importance of affordable, portable solutions in the music industry. It creates a new market segment, particularly appealing to young collectors and those embracing minimalist lifestyles. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.yankodesign.com/2026/07/14/tiny-vinyls-50-record-player-makes-collecting-mini-vinyl-more-accessible/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=tiny-vinyls-50-record-player-makes-collecting-mini-vinyl-more-accessible — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
