1Mobile Coffee Infrastructure

UNITO has introduced a rolling coffee station designed to centralize brewing equipment without requiring permanent kitchen modifications. The unit features wheels to transition from a stationary workspace to a mobile service point. This design addresses the territorial nature of coffee gear, offering a dedicated home for grinders, kettles, and filters.

2Material and Aesthetic Balance

The station utilizes silver anodized aluminum profiles for the structural frame, paired with light birch plywood panels. This combination aims to balance industrial precision with organic warmth. By keeping the metal framework visible, the design avoids looking like purely institutional equipment, making it suitable for client-facing environments like small studios.

3Functional Storage Configuration

Storage is integrated through two soft-close drawers and an open lower compartment. The design avoids projecting handles in favor of wide finger-pull cutouts, maintaining a clean aesthetic. This configuration allows small supplies like spoons and towels to remain accessible while keeping the countertop display organized and free from unnecessary clutter.

4Mobility and Stability Mechanisms

Four locking stainless steel casters provide the station with its primary mobility. While these wheels allow for easy repositioning within a room, the unit is not intended for heavy transport like stairs or vehicle loading. Brake levers ensure the station remains stable during operation, preventing unwanted movement while the coffee is prepared.

5Modular IGT System Integration

The top surface is engineered to accept Iron Grill Table (IGT) panels or stove inserts. This modular approach allows users to adapt the workstation for different tasks rather than committing to a single, fixed arrangement. While specific insert compatibility is pending confirmation, the system offers significant potential for customization in professional settings.

6Outdoor Service Considerations

A dedicated patio umbrella slot is included, enabling the station to function as a small service point for outdoor gatherings. However, the current specifications do not confirm if the plywood panels are weatherproof or if the structure can safely anchor an umbrella in windy conditions, suggesting a primary indoor focus.

7Studio Flexibility and Utility

The station serves as a practical solution for shared studios where space requirements change throughout the week. By consolidating coffee equipment into a single, movable unit, hosts can maintain a professional setup without building fixed counters. This flexibility allows the room to remain adaptable for various activities beyond coffee service.

8Strategic Product Positioning

UNITO positions this station as part of a broader move toward furniture and tools for small businesses. It does not replace a full café, as it lacks integrated water or power systems. Instead, it provides a coherent, low-commitment solution for professionals who need a serious coffee setup without remodeling their space.
