This 33 percent discount marks the lowest price ever recorded for the device. The promotion arrives ahead of Black Friday, positioning the mid-range speaker as a competitive option for holiday shoppers seeking portable audio. ## Strategic Market Positioning Bose places the SoundLink Plus in the middle of its current speaker lineup, bridging the gap between the smaller Flex and the larger Max models. This device is designed for users who desire a balance between portability and sound output, avoiding the bulk of larger units while exceeding the performance of entry-level speakers. ## Durability and Design Engineered for outdoor use, the speaker features a built-in nylon strap for easy attachment to backpacks. It carries an IP67 rating, meaning the hardware is fully sealed against dust ingress and can withstand complete water submersion. Its rugged construction allows the unit to handle physical impacts during travel or outdoor activities. ## Connectivity and Battery The device utilizes Bluetooth 5.4 technology, supporting both AAC and AptX Adaptive codecs for wireless streaming. It allows for dual-device pairing, enabling smoother transitions between audio sources. The internal battery provides up to 20 hours of playback time, though actual performance varies depending on the volume levels selected by the user. ## Audio Profile Limitations The sound signature emphasizes mid- and high-bass frequencies, which enhances electronic and pop music genres. However, the speaker lacks deep sub-bass capabilities and may exhibit compression at higher volume settings. Because it outputs audio in mono, it does not provide the wide stereo separation found in more complex, multi-driver speaker systems. ## Missing Functional Features Potential buyers should note that the SoundLink Plus lacks several common features found in other portable speakers. It does not include an integrated microphone for voice calls, nor does it offer an auxiliary port for wired connections. Furthermore, the device provides no native support for voice assistants, prioritizing a streamlined wireless experience. ## Directivity and Clarity Despite the mono audio output, the speaker maintains high sound clarity from various listening angles. This directivity ensures that users do not need to sit directly in front of the unit to enjoy consistent audio quality. This characteristic makes it a versatile choice for group settings where listeners are positioned around the device. ## Market Context Analysis The current discount reflects a broader trend of aggressive pricing for consumer electronics before major holiday sales events. While the SoundLink Plus has not been on the market for an extended period, it has already garnered positive industry reviews. This price reduction makes its specific feature set more accessible to budget-conscious consumers. ## Sources covering this story - [Lifehacker — Bose SoundLink Plus Speaker Discounted by 33 Percent](https://lifehacker.com/tech/bose-soundlink-plus-sale-early-black-friday-2026?utm_medium=RSS) - [Android Authority — Bose SoundLink Plus Returns to All-Time Low Price on Amazon](https://www.androidauthority.com/bose-soundlink-plus-deal-amazon-3730318/) --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
