Samsung Pre-installs Amazon Music on Galaxy Phones
A new app comes with a free three-month subscription.
1Samsung's New Move
Samsung has added Amazon Music to the list of pre-installed apps on Galaxy phones and tablets. This could be a minor annoyance for users considering purchasing new Galaxy devices.
2Free Subscription Offer
Samsung and Amazon are offering a free three-month Amazon Music Unlimited subscription to users who download the app from the Galaxy Store. This aims to mitigate potential user dissatisfaction.
3Comparison with Competitors
Apple's iPhones do not come with third-party software installed by default. Samsung's move could create a negative impression compared to its competitors.
4Storage Issue
Amazon Music joins the list of pre-installed apps like Facebook, Instagram, and Spotify. These apps can occupy over 1GB of storage space on the device.
5Uninstallation and Disabling
Most pre-installed apps can be easily removed after device setup. However, some apps like Facebook can only be disabled.
6Subscription Details
To take advantage of the free three-month Amazon Music Unlimited subscription, you need to download the app from the Samsung Galaxy Store. If not canceled, the subscription automatically renews at $13 per month.
