Anker Soundcore Boom 2 Now at Half Price
Major discount on this waterproof portable speaker with floating capability.
1Historic Low Price
Anker's floatable Soundcore Boom 2 speaker has dropped to $69.99 at Woot, a significant discount from its regular $129.99 price. This is $40 cheaper than Amazon's current $109.99 listing and represents the lowest recorded price according to trackers. Free shipping is available for Prime members.
2Waterproof Design
With an IPX7 rating, the speaker can float if dropped in water. While Bluetooth cuts out when submerged, the device itself emerges unharmed. This makes it ideal for poolside or beach use without constant supervision.
3Audio Performance
The Boom 2 delivers 80 watts of power through two tweeters and a woofer, capable of filling large spaces. Its BassUp feature enhances low frequencies, and while two units can pair for stereo sound, the lack of wifi limits connectivity options.
4Battery Life Considerations
Rated for up to 24 hours, actual battery life varies significantly with volume and feature usage. The rugged design prioritizes durability over audio refinement, falling short of competitors like JBL Flip 6 in mid/high frequency balance.
5Customization Options
Anker's companion app allows EQ adjustments and light control. As noted by PCMag, this speaker suits users prioritizing durability and volume over audiophile-grade precision, making it ideal for outdoor adventures.
6Deal Specifications
The sale is scheduled for three weeks but may end early if stock runs out. Non-Prime members pay $6 shipping. Available in gray and green color options at this record-low price point.
7Competitive Landscape
Compared to similarly priced JBL Flip 6 and Sony SRS-XB23, the Boom 2 offers superior maximum volume and unique floating capability. However, it trails in audio balance, particularly in mids and highs where competitors excel.
8Target Audience
Designed for users needing rugged, loud audio in unpredictable environments, the Boom 2 excels in outdoor settings. Its 80-watt output easily covers large areas, making it ideal for beach parties or events where durability matters most.
