The UAE Ministry of Defence officially announced the 11th edition of the Union Fortress military parade. Scheduled for December in Liwa city, Al Dhafra Region, the event operates under the theme 'An Impregnable Fortress, a Resilient Nation and a Determined People.' It serves as a public demonstration of national strength.
2Leadership and Oversight
The event is held under the direct attention of the UAE's leadership and is being monitored by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Region. Coordination between the Ministry of Defence and various national entities ensures the parade reflects the Armed Forces' role in stability.
3Defining the Theme
The chosen theme emphasizes the link between state power and social cohesion. The 'impregnable fortress' symbolizes the UAE's defensive sovereignty, while 'resilient nation' reflects steadfastness against regional challenges. 'Determined people' highlights how national unity forms the foundation for the country's ongoing development journey and its collective future security outlook.
4Operational Combat Readiness
Union Fortress 11 will feature field demonstrations showcasing the advanced capabilities of the UAE Armed Forces. These exercises aim to highlight the professionalism, discipline, and combat readiness of personnel. The displays will specifically focus on the integration and coordination between different military units during complex, high-stakes mission execution scenarios.

The parade reflects the significant progress made in the UAE's defense infrastructure. It showcases the vision of building a modern, advanced military force capable of addressing changing circumstances. The event also highlights the leadership's commitment to developing national personnel, ensuring they perform duties with maximum efficiency and tactical effectiveness.
6Strengthening National Identity
The parade carries a core national message: the UAE's security is rooted in both military power and societal unity. By allowing the public to witness these capabilities firsthand, the event aims to deepen awareness of the military's mission, reinforcing feelings of pride, loyalty, and shared responsibility among all citizens.
7Logistical Preparations Underway
The Ministry of Defence is currently collaborating with government, semi-government, and private entities to finalize logistical and field arrangements. These efforts ensure the venue is prepared to welcome visitors safely. This multi-sector cooperation reflects the integrated national effort required to successfully execute such a large-scale, high-profile military event.
