1Project Overview

The Marivan Medical Building is located on one of the main boulevards in Marivan, Iran. Designed by AsNow Design & Construct, this 1,050-square-meter healthcare facility is set for completion in 2025. The project aims to address the region's need for modern health infrastructure. Featuring a predominantly steel material design, the structure has been documented by architectural photographer Mohammad Hosein Hamzehlouei.

2Design Team

Led by architects Sonia Tatari and Ehsan Tavasoli, the team includes Neda Jahantab, Masoomeh Samadi, Farid Rajabi, and Nila Shahmohammadi. This interdisciplinary team successfully balanced hospital functionality with aesthetic considerations. Patient comfort and operational efficiency were prioritized throughout the design process. A contemporary language was developed that harmonizes with Marivan's local architectural fabric.

3Architectural Features

The 1,050-square-meter structure was planned as a functional medical center in an urban context. The flexibility of steel construction allowed for spacious patient waiting areas and efficient circulation routes. The facade design maximizes natural light while ensuring energy efficiency. The project has been featured on international platforms like ArchDaily.

4Regional Impact

As a significant healthcare investment for Marivan, the project will enhance medical service quality in the region. Its location on a main artery provides excellent accessibility. The facility is expected to create local employment and could contribute to western Iran's medical tourism potential. Designed to meet modern hospital standards, it aims to become a regional reference point.

5Material Selection

The project predominantly features steel, prioritizing both durability and aesthetics. Material choices considered structural performance and hygienic conditions. Facade materials were selected to suit local climate conditions. Smart material applications enhancing patient comfort were incorporated in interior spaces.
