The new phone was spotted in the hands of players on the field.
1A Surprising Sight
In the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 to win the championship. During the on-field celebrations, a player was seen holding the yet-to-be-released Honor Robot Phone. This unexpected sight has heightened interest in the phone's launch.
2What is the Honor Robot Phone?
The Honor Robot Phone is a smartphone that has been showcased in various prototype stages since January. It features a 6.3" to 6.4" screen, 1.5K resolution, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The main camera stands out with 200MP.
3Camera Performance
The phone's standout feature is its gimbal-supported camera system. With a 200MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera, and 200MP periscope telephoto camera, it is expected to deliver performance on par with the Magic9 series.
4Battery and Design
The Honor Robot Phone boasts a 6,000 mAh battery. While this is considered small for Chinese smartphones, it may be due to the space taken up by the gimbal system.
5Price Expectations
Given the phone's camera performance and features, its price is expected to be quite high. The Honor Robot Phone seems poised to occupy the premium segment.
6Launch Strategy
The appearance of the Honor Robot Phone at the World Cup final could be part of the brand's launch strategy. This move aims to generate buzz ahead of the phone's release.
