Philips Hue's budget-friendly starter kit hits record low price
Get 4 smart bulbs and a bridge device for just $80 in this limited-time offer.
1Historic price drop
Philips Hue's Essential starter kit, normally priced at $120, is now available for just $80. The bundle includes four color-changing smart bulbs and a Hue Bridge hub. This discount effectively means getting two extra bulbs at no additional cost compared to the two-bulb starter kit.
2Product features
The set's color bulbs offer millions of color options with adjustable white light ranging from 2200K to 6500K. Producing 800 lumens of brightness, the bulbs come with preset lighting scenes for various activities while allowing users to create custom scenes through the Hue app.
3Smart control capabilities
The included Hue Bridge enables remote light control, scheduling, and automation setups when away from home. Supporting up to 50 light points throughout a home, the system works with all major smart home platforms thanks to Matter compatibility for seamless integration.
4Non-premium aspects
This budget-friendly set lacks some premium features - bulbs dim to 2% (vs 0.2% in premium models) and color consistency across generations isn't guaranteed. However, it delivers solid performance for basic smart lighting needs without the premium price tag.
5Buyer considerations
Ideal for those wanting colorful smart lighting without premium costs, this set maintains core functionality despite missing high-end features. Amazon's current offer represents significant savings for smart home enthusiasts looking to start or expand their lighting setup affordably.
6Market impact
Philips Hue's aggressive pricing expands smart lighting accessibility in the consumer market. Post-Prime Day deals like this strengthen the brand's position in budget-conscious segments while lowering entry barriers to smart home technology - contributing to overall market growth through increased adoption.
