For those considering larger options, the 75-inch model is also available at a 33% discount. These deals are time-sensitive and subject to change after publication. ## Ideal screen size The 65-inch model strikes a balance between cinematic immersion and practical placement, making it suitable for most rooms without dominating the space. While smaller than massive alternatives, it delivers an enhanced viewing experience for both movies and gaming compared to standard TVs. ## Display technology This entry-level 4K TV features Mini LED backlight technology with Pure Spectrum Color for natural hues. While branded as Mini LED, it lacks local dimming, which affects HDR performance in bright rooms and dark scene reproduction. The panel offers HDR10+ support and Auto HDR Remastering for older content enhancement. ## Gaming capabilities Equipped with a native 144Hz refresh rate and Samsung's Gaming Hub, the TV supports HDMI 2.1 and variable refresh rate including AMD FreeSync Premium. While outperforming standard 60Hz budget TVs, fast-moving scenes may still show some blur, making it better suited for casual than competitive gaming. ## Processing power The NQ4 AI Gen2 processor handles upscaling of lower-resolution content for cleaner display on the 4K panel. This AI-driven processing aims to improve overall picture quality, though the TV's limitations in local dimming affect its peak brightness capabilities for HDR content. ## Smart features Running on Samsung's Tizen interface, the TV includes built-in Alexa and AirPlay support alongside Samsung Vision AI features. It offers access to Tizen's extensive streaming app catalog, positioning it as a comprehensive smart TV solution despite being an entry-level model. ## Connectivity limitations The M80H comes with only three HDMI ports, which may constrain users with multiple gaming consoles and media devices. This limitation contrasts with some competitors offering more connectivity options, though the included ports support modern standards like HDMI 2.1 for gaming applications. ## Value proposition At under $650, the 65-inch model presents a compelling option for casual gaming and everyday use, balancing price and features. The 75-inch alternative offers more dramatic viewing for larger spaces at a steeper discount, providing options for different room sizes and viewing preferences. ## Sources covering this story - https://lifehacker.com/tech/samsung-mini-led-tv-deal-september-2026?utm_medium=RSS — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
