## Platform Overhaul

Towards Data Science has rebuilt its infrastructure from the ground up, delivering a significantly faster website. Free from WordPress limitations, the team now has full control over every platform detail. This change enables quicker response to user feedback and faster implementation of new features. User accounts and login systems continue to function as before.

## Unchanged Mission

Despite platform changes, Towards Data Science maintains its core mission and editorial standards. It remains the home for practitioner-written articles on data science, machine learning, and AI. This consistency demonstrates the platform's commitment to delivering quality content to its readers.

## New Contributor Portal

A dedicated contributor portal has launched at write.insightmediagroup.io. Unlike the previous WordPress-based system, this portal simplifies article submission and formatting. Authors can submit articles directly and track each stage of the review process. Existing credentials provide immediate access.

## User-Centric Design

The new portal offers an intuitive publishing experience aligned with 2026 standards. The team developed this innovative solution considering authors' technical challenges with the old system. The user-friendly interface significantly streamlines content creation workflows.

## Community Engagement

With the new platform, Towards Data Science plans to offer enhanced support for contributors. The team emphasizes that now is an ideal time for data science professionals to start publishing. First-time authors are encouraged to submit their initial articles through the portal.

## Continuous Improvement

The platform team will continue expanding improvements to both site and portal in coming weeks and months. Users can share feedback about bugs or enhancement ideas at publication@towardsdatascience.com. This participatory approach allows the community to shape the platform's future.

## Technical Freedom

Liberated from WordPress constraints, Towards Data Science now has complete control over its infrastructure. This newfound freedom marks a significant milestone for the platform's future development. The team prepares to build innovations on this new technological foundation.

## Community Impact

This move by Towards Data Science represents an important step for the data science community. The enhanced experience for both readers and contributors aims to increase knowledge sharing and collaboration in the field. The platform's open communication channels will foster community growth.
