The new theory suggests these phenomena might represent different evolutionary stages of the same cosmic structure. ## The Secret of Little Red Dots Little Red Dots, long-standing enigmas in astronomy, are now proposed to be early forms of globular clusters in the young universe. This finding could reshape our theories of galaxy formation and cosmic evolution. ## Origins of Globular Clusters The origin of globular clusters that adorn galaxies like the Milky Way has always been puzzling. The research illuminates this mystery by suggesting these dense star groups evolved from Little Red Dots. ## Scientific Basis of the Theory Published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters, the study combines spectral analysis of cosmic objects with evolutionary models. Data reveals striking similarities in mass and age distributions between the two phenomena. ## Reactions in Astronomy Community The discovery has generated significant excitement among astronomers. Experts note that if confirmed, this theory could revolutionize our understanding of galaxy formation. New observations are being planned to test the hypothesis. ## Significance of the Cosmic Puzzle This research advances our understanding of the universe's building blocks. By connecting two seemingly distinct phenomena, the theory offers fresh perspectives on cosmic evolution models and charts a course for future investigations. ## Sources covering this story - https://phys.org/news/2026-07-idea-cosmic-mysteries-linking-red.html — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
