With 492 square feet of space and an 80-square-foot loft, it stands out as a large home in the park model category. This home is designed to settle on a site rather than be portable. ## Mountain Cabin Aesthetic From the outside, the Apex resembles a mountain cabin. Its exterior features engineered wood and dark cedar shingles, topped with a Prolok metal roof. These materials ensure the home is both durable and aesthetically pleasing. ## Natural Touches in the Interior The interior opens into a living room through double glass doors. Vaulted ceilings and A-frame windows bring the landscape inside. Pine planks run overhead, and century-old reclaimed barn wood adds warmth to the space. ## Fully Equipped Kitchen The Apex's kitchen rejects the compromises often seen in tiny homes. It features quartz countertops, custom cabinets, a four-burner stove, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator. The breakfast bar provides seating for three. ## Mud Room and Bathroom The Apex includes a mud room, a rare feature in tiny homes. This room has a separate entrance, offering convenience for those returning from outdoor activities. The bathroom boasts a full-sized bathtub and a washer-dryer combo. ## Spacious and Functional Bedroom The bedroom at the far end of the home is spacious enough to stand upright. Built-in storage, a double bed, his-and-hers closets, and a ceiling fan enhance its functionality and comfort. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.yankodesign.com/2026/07/14/this-492-square-foot-canadian-tiny-home-has-a-mud-room-a-bathtub-and-zero-apologies/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=this-492-square-foot-canadian-tiny-home-has-a-mud-room-a-bathtub-and-zero-apologies — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
