1Launch of Fifth Season

Dubai Municipality has officially opened registration for the fifth season of Souk Al Freej. This annual community initiative aims to support small business owners and productive families by providing free exhibition spaces. The program is designed to foster local entrepreneurship while enhancing the overall quality of life for Dubai residents.

2Strategic Park Locations

The market will operate in three major public parks across Dubai. It begins at Nad Al Sheba Rose Garden from December 11 to 20, 2026, followed by Al Barsha Pond Park from December 25 to January 3, 2027, and concludes at Al Warqa Park from January 8 to 17, 2027.

3Support for Local Entrepreneurs

The municipality is providing 50 free commercial platforms to help local businesses reach a wider audience. Among these, 10 spots are specifically designated for food and beverage kiosks. This setup allows participants to showcase unique products, including handmade crafts, sustainable fashion, and homemade food, directly to the visiting public.

4Expanding Community Spaces

This initiative reflects the municipality's broader strategy to transform public parks into vibrant community hubs. By integrating shopping with cultural and entertainment activities, the project moves beyond traditional park usage. It creates an inclusive environment that encourages social interaction, community participation, and the growth of local small-scale commercial enterprises.

5New Entertainment Experiences

The fifth season introduces several new attractions to enhance visitor engagement. Notable additions include an Asian-themed zone featuring cultural activities and traditional cuisine. Furthermore, the market will offer dedicated areas for Generation Z, free play zones for children, and interactive workshops designed to appeal to various age groups and interests.

6Adventure and Interaction

To encourage active exploration, the market features a zipline experience and a treasure hunt challenge. These activities are designed to facilitate direct interaction between visitors and participating entrepreneurs. By gamifying the shopping experience, the municipality aims to increase foot traffic and deepen the connection between local businesses and their customers.

7Professional Development Goals

Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al Ahli, Director of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities, emphasized that the market serves as a comprehensive platform for business growth. It provides a structured environment where participants can test their products, refine their business models, and build brand confidence among consumers in a highly accessible public setting.

8Registration and Future Impact

Interested entrepreneurs and productive families are invited to register via the official Dubai Municipality website. By offering these resources, the city aims to boost the sustainability of local projects and improve the economic vitality of the region. This initiative remains a key component of Dubai's long-term commitment to community-focused development.
