The Essentials plan offers 2TB of lifetime cloud storage, effectively replacing fragmented email and document workflows. By integrating these functions, users can manage large project archives without the constant need to switch between different software applications or external communication tools. ## Unlimited File Size Flexibility A key feature of the Drime platform is the absence of individual file size limits. Users can upload raw photos, high-resolution videos, or massive project archives without splitting them into smaller segments. This flexibility is essential for creative professionals who frequently handle large media assets that often exceed standard cloud storage upload constraints. ## Advanced Sharing and Security Controls Sharing files involves more than simple links; users can implement password protection, set expiration dates, and monitor access statistics. For sensitive data, the service provides an end-to-end encrypted Vault. Files stored in this Vault are encrypted locally, ensuring that the service provider cannot access or read the contents of your private documents. ## Precision Feedback and Collaboration The platform streamlines project reviews by supporting timestamped comments directly on videos and PDF documents. Reviewers can pinpoint specific moments or sections, eliminating ambiguity in feedback loops. This targeted approach prevents the common issue of misinterpreting comments, allowing teams to address specific revisions efficiently without searching through lengthy email threads or messages. ## Integrated Editing and Signatures Beyond storage, Drime includes built-in media editing tools and the Drime Sign feature for collecting electronic signatures. These integrated capabilities allow users to finalize documents and approve media assets within a single environment. This reduces the administrative burden of moving files between different platforms just to obtain necessary legal or creative sign-offs. ## Team Management and Versioning Shared workspaces accommodate teams of up to 15 members, facilitating seamless group collaboration. To protect against accidental data loss or unwanted changes, the system maintains 120 days of version history. This feature allows users to revert to previous iterations of files if a revision process does not yield the intended project results. ## Infrastructure and Compatibility Details Drime hosts all user files within the European Union, adhering to regional data standards. While the service offers broad synchronization across mobile and desktop devices, there is a specific technical limitation: Intel-based Macs are not currently supported by the desktop application. New and existing users must redeem their subscription via the web app. ## Lifetime Subscription Value Proposition The Essentials plan is currently available for a one-time payment of $149.97, reduced from the standard $299 price point. This lifetime access model provides a cost-effective alternative to recurring monthly subscriptions for long-term storage needs. Users should complete the redemption process through the web application within 30 days of their initial purchase. ## Sources covering this story - https://mashable.com/tech/nov-2-drime-secure-cloud-storage-lifetime-subscription-2tb — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
