Designer Heather Menegat blended old-world craftsmanship with modern comfort to create a 'looks like it's always been there' feel. ## Nature-Inspired Entryway The entry features Marthe Armitage's botanical wallpaper, protected from Colorado's climate extremes. An antique train station bench and English pub sign add character to this welcoming space. ## Designing Through Pandemic The project launched at the pandemic's onset. Menegat's team at Landed Interiors made key layout changes, including rotating the kitchen 90 degrees for better views and flow. ## Capturing Historic Charm Special techniques created an old farmhouse feel in a new build. Wall wood was cut to regional historic dimensions. Floorboards were left intentionally weathered for authentic character. ## Art in Details The living room centers around a grand fireplace with Jotul wood stove and Lena Wolff collage. Custom log holder features traditional mortise and tenon joinery craftsmanship. ## Lived-In Aesthetic Many pieces were chosen specifically for their ability to age beautifully. The owners note they selected new items that would develop character over time, enhancing authenticity. ## Windowless Room Homage The pantry was designed as a lightless space, nodding to historic home layouts. The homeowner loves making morning coffee in this secluded spot before others wake. ## Handcrafted Touches Every corner showcases artisanal details - hand-forged iron spoons, custom antiques, and linocut wallpapers create warm, personal atmosphere throughout the home. ## Landscape Harmony Morris Co's blue wallpaper mirrors Colorado views through family room windows. Custom sofa and antique coffee table complete the space's organic aesthetic. ## Artisan's Appreciation The owner states 'craftsmen best understand this home's value.' Meticulous details and traditional techniques earn professional admiration from fellow makers. ## Enduring Design Legacy This project demonstrates design that withstands time over trends. The Colorado farmhouse stands as a craftsmanship masterpiece meant to be passed through generations. ## Sources covering this story - https://www.architecturaldigest.com/story/landed-interiors-designed-colorado-farmhouse — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
