Kaiser Reef Retires Auramet Gold Loan to Boost Operational Cash Flow
Full repayment of senior secured debt unlocks $600,000 monthly for strategic mine development.
1Debt Retirement Milestone
Kaiser Reef has successfully finalized the repayment of its senior secured gold loan provided by Auramet International. This financial conclusion involved 18 monthly installments, totaling 1872 ounces of gold. By settling this obligation, the company immediately frees up $600,000 in monthly operating cash flow to support its ongoing expansion projects.
2Henty Mine Performance
The Henty gold mine in Tasmania served as the primary engine for this debt repayment. The facility's ability to self-fund the loan demonstrates the operational success of the 2025 acquisition. Henty currently supports a targeted production profile of 32,000 ounces per annum, utilizing its 300,000-tonne-per-annum processing plant for consistent output.
3Financial Turnaround Metrics
Kaiser Reef has achieved a significant fiscal recovery, transitioning from a $20.24 million loss in FY2025 to a $16.8 million statutory after-tax profit in FY26. This performance was bolstered by $44.7 million in cash inflows from operations. The company ended September with a robust $40 million in combined cash and bullion.
4Remaining Delivery Obligations
Following the retirement of the Auramet facility, the company holds only one remaining gold delivery obligation. This involves a deferred consideration payment to Catalyst Metals for the Henty acquisition, requiring 50 ounces per month until October 2030. There are currently 2400 ounces remaining outstanding on this specific gold loan facility.
5Tasmanian Asset Strategy
Located in the Mount Read Volcanics belt, the Henty mine hosts 429,000 ounces of gold at 3.16g/t. Beyond internal production, Kaiser is maximizing asset utility by processing third-party ore. A recent agreement with Flynn Gold allows the Henty plant to generate additional revenue streams by utilizing its excess processing capacity for external partners.
6Victorian Growth Focus
Kaiser is advancing its Maldon project in Victoria’s Golden Triangle, a region historically yielding 1.75 million ounces at 28g/t. The site includes the 200,000tpa Porcupine Flats facility and the Union Hill deposit, which holds 187,000 ounces. The company has initiated an underground drilling program to explore and unlock further upside potential.
7Resource Base Overview
The company maintains a global resource of 5.53 million tonnes grading 3.46g/t, totaling 615,000 ounces of gold. This inventory is split across its key Tasmanian and Victorian projects. With significant reserves at Union Hill and the A1 site, the firm is well-positioned to sustain long-term production through its current development programs.
8Strategic Capital Allocation
The retirement of the Auramet loan cements a two-pronged strategy where cash from the Henty workhorse funds growth at the Maldon project. With a $40 million war chest, management is now positioned to accelerate mine-life extensions. This transition marks a shift from debt management to active investment in high-grade exploration.
