Aurum Resources Expands Gold Resource Base in West Africa

High-grade drilling results at Boundiali project precede a critical resource update this month.

1New High-Grade Intercepts

Aurum Resources reported significant gold intercepts at its BST1 deposit, including a 0.65-metre section at 41.38 grams per tonne. These results originate from 25 diamond drillholes totaling 7121.75 metres. The findings are located outside the current 570,000-ounce resource, indicating potential for expansion before the upcoming project update due by month-end.

2Aggressive Drilling Strategy

The company is executing a massive 150,000-metre diamond drilling campaign across its Boundiali and Napié projects. Currently, 16 company-owned drill rigs operate around the clock to test strike and depth extensions. This intensive effort aims to upgrade resource confidence and define the full extent of the gold system within the Boundiali tenement.

3Resource Update Timeline

Data from 120 holes, totaling over 31,000 metres, will be incorporated into the next Mineral Resource Estimate. The drill collar cut-off date was set for 30 September 2026. Management expects to release these updated figures by the end of October, providing a clearer picture of the project's total gold endowment and scale.

4Strategic Project Pipeline

The updated resource numbers will serve as the foundation for a definitive feasibility study for the Boundiali project. Aurum anticipates delivering this study in late 2026. Meanwhile, the company plans to initiate a 30,000-metre drilling program at the Napié project, located 100 kilometres southeast, starting within the current quarter.

5Financial Position Strength

Aurum maintains a robust financial position to support its exploration activities. Following a recent $52.5 million placement, the company holds an unaudited cash balance exceeding $95 million. This capital ensures the continuity of its aggressive development push and the operation of its extensive fleet of diamond drill rigs across West Africa.

6Geological Context and Location

Both key projects are situated within the Birimian Greenstone Belt, a region known for hosting numerous multi-million-ounce gold deposits. The company’s tenements are located near major operations, including Perseus Mining’s Sissingué mine and Resolute Mining’s 9.1-million-ounce Syama mine. This proximity highlights the strategic value of Aurum’s current land holdings in Côte d’Ivoire.

7Combined Resource Potential

The flagship Boundiali project is part of a broader 4.38-million-ounce combined gold resource base. This includes the 1.16-million-ounce Napié project, which sits just 100 kilometres from the Boundiali tenement block. The ongoing drilling is designed to further increase these figures, leveraging the geological continuity observed across the company's extensive West African project portfolio.

8Market Catalyst Outlook

Investors are now focusing on the end-of-month resource update as the next major catalyst for the company. This report will reveal the impact of the recent drilling assault on the existing resource base. The market will evaluate how these findings influence the long-term development trajectory and the overall valuation of Aurum’s gold assets.
