Aurum Resources Expands Boundiali Gold Project to 3.84 Million Ounces

Strategic drilling upgrades resource confidence at the flagship Côte d’Ivoire gold asset.

1Significant Resource Milestone Achieved

Aurum Resources reported a 19 percent increase in its Boundiali gold project resource, reaching 3.84 million ounces. The project now totals 125.1 million tonnes at an average grade of 1g/t. This upgrade follows a deliberate drilling campaign focused on the BST1, BMT1, and BMT3 deposits to enhance geological confidence levels.

2Strategic Conversion of Mineral Assets

The company successfully converted 0.62 million ounces from inferred to indicated resource categories through targeted infill drilling. This conversion is essential for mine developers, as only indicated resources can be legitimately converted into ore reserves. These figures will directly support the upcoming ore reserve update for the definitive feasibility study.

3New Maiden Resource at BMT2

Aurum identified a maiden inferred resource at the BMT2 deposit, located in the northern section of its BM joint venture area. This addition contributes 4.4 million tonnes at 0.9g/t, totaling 130,000 ounces. BMT2 now represents the seventh distinct deposit within the Boundiali inventory, highlighting the region's ongoing mineralized belt potential.

4Operational Model Drives Rapid Growth

Aurum attributes its rapid expansion from greenfield discovery to a 3.84-million-ounce asset in under three years to its unique operational model. The company owns and operates a fleet of 16 diamond drill rigs. This internal control allows for continuous, high-intensity drilling programs without relying on external contractors for essential exploration equipment.

5Consolidated Group Resource Strength

Including the nearby Napié gold project, which holds 1.16 million ounces, Aurum’s total combined group resource base now stands at five million ounces. The company maintains a strong financial position with over A$95 million in cash as of September. This funding supports concurrent drilling, feasibility studies, and essential permitting activities.

6Geological Context and Regional Peers

The Boundiali project is situated within a richly endowed greenstone belt in northern Côte d’Ivoire. This geological setting hosts major operations like Resolute Mining’s 11.5 million ounce Syama mine and Perseus Mining’s 1.4 million ounce Sissingué mine. These regional benchmarks underscore the significant potential of Aurum’s current exploration and development focus.

7Path Toward Production Timeline

Following environmental approvals in May and a prefeasibility study delivered in June, the company is prioritizing mining licences. Management is currently executing a 150,000-metre drilling program for 2026. The definitive feasibility study is targeted for later this year, with the company aiming for first gold production by the first half of 2028.

8Strategic Trajectory for Aurum

Aurum Resources is positioning itself as a future West African gold producer through aggressive exploration and asset consolidation. With a five million ounce global resource and significant cash reserves, the company is executing a clear development roadmap. The focus remains on completing the definitive feasibility study to reach a final investment decision.
