Green Heart Commercial Complex and A4X Art Center Opens in Chongqing
An iconic commerce and arts destination blending with mountain city aesthetics.
1Core Project Concept
The Green Heart commercial complex and A4X Art Center harmoniously blend Chongqing's mountainous urban fabric with contemporary architecture. Designed around the philosophy of a 'boundless mountain city,' the project transcends conventional commercial typologies to reflect the city's unique character. The nature-integrated design aims to offer visitors an unparalleled experience.
2Architectural Approach
Designed by E+UV, the project spans 22,535 m². Architects Fu Li and Coco Zhou created a design that captures daily life rhythms while focusing on long-term evolution. The structure respects Chongqing's mountainous topography while incorporating public art elements, creating a distinctive architectural landmark.
3Location and Environment
Located in the LUXERIVERS area, the complex is surrounded by Chongqing's breathtaking landscapes. The project transforms the city's geographical features into an advantage, aiming to create both commercial and cultural attractions. The landscape-integrated design prioritizes sustainability and environmental harmony.
4Design Philosophy
In contrast to the fast pace of the social media era, the project adopts a more grounded approach. Focusing on the spirit of place and everyday life, the design offers a long-term development perspective. This innovative approach breathes new life into commercial spaces while contributing to urban transformation.
5Cultural Integration
The complex merges Chongqing's cultural fabric with modern functionality. Public art spaces facilitate interaction between locals and visitors, strengthening the city's identity while boosting its touristic appeal. This integration creates a vibrant community hub that celebrates local heritage.
6Future Impact
Scheduled for completion in 2025, the project will mark a significant milestone in Chongqing's urban development. Serving as both commercial and cultural center, it will contribute to the region's socio-economic growth. With its architectural innovation and sustainability focus, the project will inspire contemporary architecture across Asia.
