Aurum Resources Expands Boundiali Gold Project Ahead of Resource Upgrade

New high-grade drill results bolster Côte d’Ivoire gold project before upcoming resource estimate.

1Strategic Drilling Success

Aurum Resources has successfully extended gold mineralisation at its 3.22-million-ounce Boundiali project in Côte d’Ivoire. The company completed 25 diamond drill holes, totaling 5,651 meters, just before the September 30, 2026, cut-off date. These results are critical for the upcoming resource update, which aims to expand the project's current gold inventory.

2High-Grade Intercepts Reported

The BST1 deposit yielded a significant 57-meter intersection grading 2.34 grams per tonne of gold. Notably, a two-meter section within this intercept reached 37.95 grams per tonne, exceeding the bonanza threshold. These findings, located outside existing resource boundaries, suggest substantial potential for increasing the total gold ounces in the next calculation.

3Prospecting Across Multiple Targets

Drilling at the BMT2 prospect, where no resource was previously defined, returned 28.35 meters at 2.02 grams per tonne of gold. Meanwhile, the BMT3 deposit produced a 10-meter run at 2.65 grams per tonne. These results demonstrate the widespread nature of the mineralisation across the company’s northern and southern tenement grounds.

4Aggressive Exploration Infrastructure

Aurum operates a fleet of 16 company-owned diamond drill rigs to support its massive 180,000-meter annual program. Of this total, 150,000 meters are dedicated to Boundiali, while 30,000 meters target the 1.16-million-ounce Napié project. This operational capacity allows for simultaneous infill, step-out, and extensional drilling across multiple high-priority gold targets in West Africa.

5Financial Position and Strategy

The company maintains a strong financial position with a war chest exceeding A$95 million, bolstered by a recent A$52.5 million placement. This capital supports an aggressive dual-track strategy focusing on both resource expansion and project development. Management is currently balancing active exploration with the technical requirements of moving toward a definitive feasibility study.

6Development Milestones Progressing

Aurum has achieved several key development milestones, including securing environmental approvals in May and delivering a pre-feasibility study in June. The company is now awaiting the formal grant of mining licences. These regulatory steps are essential as the firm pushes toward a final investment decision and targets first gold production by 2028.

7Geological Context and Potential

The Boundiali and Napié projects are situated within the Birimian Greenstone Belt, a region known for hosting multi-million-ounce deposits. Aurum’s tenements are located near major operations like Resolute Mining’s nine-million-ounce Syama mine and Montage Gold’s eight-million-ounce Koné project. This geological neighborhood reinforces the potential for further discoveries within the company's extensive land package.

8Future Outlook and Growth

With the resource update due at month-end, market attention is focused on potential upgrades to the 3.22-million-ounce Boundiali resource. Since current drilling has only targeted shallow anomalies, the company anticipates further growth. The combination of active rigs and a robust balance sheet positions Aurum for continued expansion throughout the remainder of 2026.
