Players will use Joy-Cons to conduct the virtual orchestra, marking the game's first non-VR release. The motion-controlled gameplay remains the core experience. ## Classical meets pop culture The original game featured 15 classical pieces from composers like Wagner and Beethoven. Later DLCs added iconic themes from Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. The Switch version will include all this content in one package for music lovers. ## New anime theme addition A special addition for the Switch release is 'Ashes on the Fire' from Attack on Titan. This aligns with the game's strategy to appeal to anime fans. The trailer confirms all previous DLC content will be available in this version too. ## Unique control scheme While VR players used arm movements to conduct, Switch players will utilize Joy-Con motion controls. This innovative mechanic continues to be the game's standout feature, making players feel like real orchestra conductors. ## Release details Maestro launches September 17 for both current Nintendo Switch and next-gen Switch 2 consoles. The developer confirmed optimized performance and graphical enhancements for both platforms, ensuring a smooth musical experience. ## Fresh take on rhythm games Maestro's Switch debut offers a unique experience for music game enthusiasts. Combining classical training with pop culture appeal, it serves as both entertainment and potential practice tool for music students and conductors alike. ## Sources covering this story - https://mashable.com/entertainment/maestro-nintendo-switch-rhythm-game-trailer — --- _Summary written by Brifing from the original reporting.
